The Ganymed Brasserie (or Ganymed) is a restaurant located by the river Spree in the borough of Mitte. It is known for its classic and elegant ambiance, offering a mix of French and German cuisine.

After his visits to the Berliner Ensemble, Bowie would frequently dine at the Ganymed restaurant next door. Producer Tony Visconti called it a ‘time machine’, as the other patrons there seemed to belong to a bygone era.
